I really hope this project gets off the ground. I don't know if it will prove financially viable in the end. Maybe the most it will accomplish is serve as an experiment to tease out aspects of high speed transportation that would work from those that don't. Progress is made by pushing the envelope of what's feasible. The biggest shame of all would be to become a society that is so afraid of making mistakes that we can't move forward.
