- agumonkey 13y agoI remember being told about some companies and government agencies built under 150, but never heard Dunbar's name. Thanks
- rubinelli 13y agoYou will probably find this book interesting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maverick_%28book%29 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maverick_%28book%29 There are a few other companies organized as "business cells", but Semco is relatively well-known.
- easytiger 13y agoDunbar's number is interesting. His methods were not particularly scientific but his language was. It was a fairly formative paper for me when i was studying history of science. I do think there is something in the number, but where it comes from is unclear.
- hugs 13y agoExactly! My favorite pop culture explanation of Dunbar's number is "What is the Monkeysphere?" by David Wong in Cracked.com (http://www.cracked.com/article_14990_what-monkeysphere.html http://www.cracked.com/article_14990_what-monkeysphere.html)
