Partially because being protected from consequences of their actions, they can afford being idiotic.
- cafard 13y agoBut also partly because they are unable to imagine the consequence of their actions. With cars and guns the protection goes only so far.
- peterashford 13y agoYou make this sound like a sociological issue but it's really biological. Teenagers are idiots because their brains / hormones are going through rapid and dramatic changes that retard their ability to make good judgements about what is safe and what is not.
