Since OEMs don't have to pay the M$ tax, how much more profitable is a chromebook?
- wmf 13y agoDoesn't crapware more than offset the tax, making Windows "better than free"? OTOH, Google may be giving kickbacks for Chrome OS as well.

- untog 13y agoAs wmf says, the motivating factor of a "M$" tax is a myth. Windows laptops come with bundled software that more than makes up for the license cost. You hate it and I hate it, but the vast majority tolerate it.
