My girl friend and some of her friends had some bad experiences with their CS teacher too. Leading up to the point that one of her friends didn't dare to work with computers throughout her studies. She would even go so far to dictate texts and had her boyfriend type them for her when needed. It's hard to understate the impact a bad teacher can have on a persons life.
