I know this is simply about design and moving the concept of a content unit away from a container inside a page to a discreet unit, but I can't help but imagine that instead of saving bookmarks I had a collection of micro content. They could be static, or update, or be a feed, but they would be guaranteed to fall under a certain filesize, and have meta info about content type.
I guess formatting RSS and scraped sites / APIs can do all that, but perhaps we can start packaging our content to be more portable as well.
Could micro content have a unique hash? Is that how social sites track reccomendations or do they use the URL?
