I've been in the recruitment pipeline at Google 3 times over the last ten years. Each of the latter two times they had no record of the previous recruitment. In the one case where I got to onsite interviews the first set of interviewers had somebody else's resume with my name on the top. It took me most of the morning (because its an all day process) to convince them that I was not actually the piece of paper they were waving at me.
