Ask HN: Sudoku Island, launching my webapp. What to do from here?
http://www.sudokuisland.com
After countless hours of loving labor, I'm finally ready to release this off my hands. I'm really excited to share this on HN and can't wait to see a response. I'd appreciate any kind of feedback, whether it's technical, design, or launch strategy.
What would you do from here?
My main problem now is that my app doesn't have much content, nor am I interested in constantly writing content, so it is difficult to get ranked in Google. To that end, I created a widget others can put on their site or blog to get links. I also added share buttons upon puzzle completion.
My goal for this site is simply to rank on the first page of Google and run by itself as I move on to other projects.
Lastly, how do I compare to an industry developer? I come from a different field and taught myself to code. Am I good enough to look for a junior role?
Thanks HN!

- bowerbird 13y agomy girlfriend is a sudoku person. she advises the original given numbers should be bold, to differentiate them from ones the person has put in. -bowerbird
- nicholas73 13y agoThanks bowerbird, in fact the font of the numbers has been a source of considerable headache for me. I haven't found a satisfying design since it's hard to balance utility with the color scheme. I'll try the bold font tonight.
