As someone who speaks Japanese and instantly understood what the name meant, I agree. This is an absurd name to use for an American/Western dating site. I can't see myself mentioning this site to my friends.

- detcader 13y agothe about page says it: tomo no tomo short for tomodachi no tomodachi (friend of friend)
- otikik 13y agoReduce it to "tonomo" or "notomo" then. Also beware of extreme reduction, as "tonto" means "stupid" in Spanish. ("notomo" means "Idon'tdrink" in Spanish, but that's less obvious)
- pratikpoddar 13y agotomogachi no tomogachi means - 'friend of friend'
- sqrt17 13y agoInteresting. From a Spanish point of view, it could also mean "tomo / no tomo" (take, don't take), which is borderline sensible
