Does techcrunch, mashable, etc. actually write about it? I'm thinking it's hard to get them to actually visit a site unless you have some credibility.

- byrneseyeview 17y agoThis is like the old joke about how convenient it is that all the nice cities in Europe are right by rivers -- being written up by TC or Mashable gives a site instant credibility, but as far as I know they won't turn someone down because they'd be the first to break a story about a cool new site.
- kineticac 17y agoSo would a site get a better chance by doing a private invite beta, only giving TechCrunch exclusive invite codes? It'll probably get all traffic looking for invites to TechCrunch, so I could see that as being extremely appealing.
