Lots of great advice in the article.
It also shows the madness in current technical interviews. It's sad we can't just do what we do. We have to pretend we're better than we are. We have to go back and basically study for the GRE to land some of these interviews, which isn't our day to day lives at all.
And worse -- a lot of companies will put you through a few interviews, a coding project, then more interviews, then just... drop you. dead end.
Advice: If your company gets to the stage of asking for a unique coding project (usually with a deadline of over a weekend or a week), your company should be pay the candidate for wasting their time if you drop them. It's nicer to get a rejection and $1500 instead of just "Thanks for spending 40 hours on us over the past six weeks. Turns out, we don't like you after all. We won't tell you why though. Goodbye forever."
