"Many employees are getting payed for months of work to recreate a product--work that upper management would probably disagree with if asked. In what company is that even allowed?" Yes, I was wondering about that as well. And the significant loss in revenue - in my experience that usually leads to lots of questions. The office isn't overlooking the London wheel by any chance :-)
