Whenever there's discussion of timing attacks on Tor, somebody always says "that's impossible unless they were able to monitor a very significant amount of all Tor traffic. Tor is safe." Somehow, they don't realize that the NSA's upstream program is exactly that. They've been intercepting any Internet traffic they can get their hands on all the way back to 2003. Tor is not safe.
