I disagree. I value a strong body for a lightweight laptop. I also really enjoy little details like the backlit keyboard and the magnetic power cord attachment that saved me more times than I can count on one hand. If you do not value any of those things then I can understand. But even if I'd install Linux on a laptop I would want it to be as well engineered as an apple laptop. Even if it means paying a few more dollars than the next best plastic shell from a competitor.
