Comparing this with my French life is astonishing. I can go in and out of hospitals/any doctor for almost free, ambulance ride included if necessary. For ~30€ monthly above the basic care (paid by employers). I don't recall ever worrying about money when it comes to health. What you have in the US is archaic.
