Well, perhaps he hasn't used any other closure implementation... why would that merit mockery? I doubt the same tone would be taken if he were a Ruby novice adulating over block syntax. It's just hip to condescend to PHP developers.
- eevee 13y agoI'm only observing that the article comes across weirdly as a result, especially when the author makes judgments like "simple". Not defending the condescension. (Though the same tone might well be taken if he were a Ruby novice writing articles titled "A Look at Ruby's Continuing Evolution".)
