Why is he mixing computer science with programming? Computer science is just a branch of mathematics. It has not much to do with what he talks about afterwards.
- billswift 17y agoComputer science is to programming as physics is to engineering. The way SOME programmers constantly put down computer science, especially academic computer science, is a sign of the anti-professionalism in the field. (I decided I better emphasize some programmers since they actually seem to be a very vocal minority.)
