Yeah, I loved playing with Legos as a kid. I think having spent long hours playing with them significantly boosted my developing creative/intellectual abilities. There are studies that demonstrate mice from environmentally-rich cages (lots of stimuli) become better capable of recovering from hippocampal damage. P.S.
