You sure do mention your wife a lot
- toomuchtodo 13y agoWhen you're married, your wife plays a big part in a lot of decisions you make vs when you're single. Disclaimer: 30. Married for 5 years.
- Domenic_S 13y agoWife's the scapegoat. Saying "my wife wouldn't be happy with X" is just saying "I don't want to do X" while shunting the blame away from yourself.

- Domenic_S 13y agoI'd say I don't have a wife, but there's a woman who'd be mad at me for saying that ;) Seriously, people use the wife or parents scapegoat all the time. In high school my mother told me if I was at a party and being peer-pressured into something I didn't want to do, to blame her in order to get out.

- danieldk 13y agoI am, for one, happy to see that people with families bootstrap businesses. I imagine that it can be tough financially and time-wise. So, naturally, significant others should be in the loop.
