Does anyone know how they will test it in the lab? I thought we haven't discovered negative matter yet?

- tocomment 13y agoBut how can a charged capacitor warp space? I thought only matter could warp space?
- lcampbell 13y agoI don't understand physics to any degree, but I was under the assumption that EM fields also warped space (albeit orders of magnitude less). I found some explanations that are way above my head on Quora: [1] http://www.quora.com/Physics/Can-a-large-energy-field-other-than-gravity-warp-spacetime/answer/Tu-Anh-Tran http://www.quora.com/Physics/Can-a-large-energy-field-other-... [2] http://www.quora.com/Physics/Can-a-large-energy-field-other-than-gravity-warp-spacetime/answer/Frank-Heile http://www.quora.com/Physics/Can-a-large-energy-field-other-... The second seems to suggest that energy fields, in general, do warp space.
- robertfw 13y agoconsidering e=mc2, it's not surprising that matter and energy can both accomplish the same thing - they are the same thing
- ars 13y agoNot matter. Energy. Energy warps space. Matter is just a kind of energy. But all energy warps space, and has a gravitational field.
