Regarding typing, I don't know if this is an actual phenomenon, but I've noticed that some programmers I've worked with who had problems touch typing seem to have had more attachment to the code they've written, than those for whom typing is a fraction of the effort.
- hkmurakami 13y agothat seems logical to me. If it's going to take you 2 hours vs 30 minutes to rewrite/refactor your code, that extra physical/time burden will dissuade someone from saying goodbye to the code they just wrote.
- kondro 13y agoThat's an interesting observation. I might pay more attention next time I see issues like this.
