Even if one accepted that NLP is AI-complete: this is a sufficient condition and not a necessary condition. But the claim being made in the articles is that it is a necessary condition: that is, that other AI disciplines are distractions because they do not lead to the AI grail that NLP supposedly leads to. This is classic GOFAI hogwash.
