I think we could help improve the field by making CAPTCHAs with these kinds of questions.

  This is brilliant. First you have to come up with a way to automatically generate these questions though. If we have to make them manually, the machines can just remember all the answers. Creating the questions seems much harder than answering them.

  Won't work. Assuming that the right answer is a word in the question, the computer can just brute force the answer in a couple of guesses.

    If you fail 50% of guesses, that should flag you as a spammer. If you ask a few questions with multiple possible answers it's pretty unlikely it would get them all correct through random guesses anyways.

      The bot can use only 1 guess per website.

    could you just change the number of questions to scale with the number of attempts? ie. if there are more than 3 attempts at answering a question, then ask 2 questions.
