Yet it doesn't even occur to him to mention that it's also bad because it's WRONG and disrespectful to women and offensive to people who aren't sexist. The Perl community certainly has a long standing and well earned reputation of being "teen perl hacker misogynist guys," that drives away both women and Corporate America.
