jQuery Boilerplate
- cocoflunchy 13y agoYou should always try your websites on smaller screens... I believe 1366x768 is the dominant screen resolution right now. I can't scroll (why?) and the footer comes above the most important part of the UI. http://prntscr.com/1jg232 http://prntscr.com/1jg232
- ghc 13y agoYou are completely right. But...is 1366x768 really the dominant resolution right now, even with the emergence of Apple as a dominant PC maker? On my site, the top 3 resolutions are as follows: 1. 1440x900 2. 1600x900 3. 1920x1080 After that a mishmash of phone & tablet resolutions come before 1366x768.
- antoko 13y agoYes it is... http://gs.statcounter.com/#resolution-ww-monthly-200903-201308 http://gs.statcounter.com/#resolution-ww-monthly-200903-2013...
- ricardobeat 13y agoDepends on your audience. If your website is geared towards developers, it's still a good idea to plan for 1280x800 (standard laptop), or really just make it responsive already.
- porker 13y agoDon't confuse screen resolution with browser window size. FWIW (less variability?) analytics companies love screen resolution, and put far less weight on browser window size (with or without the window chrome)
- AndrewDucker 13y agohttp://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey has 1920x1080 followed by 1366x768
- vinhnx 13y agoKind of annoyed that I also can't scroll My screen is 1366*768
- elchief 13y agoDoesn't work on Chrome 28 Win 7 1366 x 768 (can't scroll to see the bottom buttons). http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/sticky-footer/ http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/sticky-footer/ http://ryanfait.com/sticky-footer/ http://ryanfait.com/sticky-footer/
- oinksoft 13y agoDo you need tricks like that anymore though? Even IE8 supports `position: fixed'.
- lnanek2 13y agoI managed to get to the buttons by zooming out. Couldn't see them by default (Chrome on a Retina Macbook Pro). Tried scrolling and clicked every item visible too before figuring it out, ha.
- ripperdoc 13y agoSame issue for me.
- eterpstra 13y agoSame problem here. Hitting F11 for full-screen revealed the buttons. For front-end experts, this is a pretty egregious oversight.
- hnriot 13y agoAnd the site completely sucks on the iPad. Can't even see the right most box
- jhuckestein 13y agoYou don't need any tricks for the sticky footer. Just use position: fixed on the footer and add a padding-bottom to the body for the same height as the footer. In absolutely ancient browsers it will simply show the footer at the bottom when you scroll there.
- zenorocha 13y agoProblem solved, thanks for reporting :)
- BasilAwad 13y agocouldn't see buttons so I had to make my screen smaller.
- davydka 13y agoThis is funny, looks like everyone is using a mobile device, and no one can see it.
- cliveowen 13y agoThe layout is fucked up on my OS X 10.8.4 with Chrome.
