Help GoCardless (YC S11) make our customers happy
Solve our users’ problems and help us make something people want.
GoCardless is one of London’s most exciting tech start-ups. We’re building the next generation of online payments and already provide simple Direct Debit to thousands of small and medium sized businesses.
We pride ourselves on giving our users first-rate support and going the extra mile to keep them happy. We are growing fast and looking for someone versatile, smart and enthusiastic to join our support team.
Every day you will be:
- working as part of a close-knit, self-managed team
- doing three or four things at once
- improving someone’s day
- solving problems and answering questions by email, phone and text chat
- working with our product team to ensure those problems don’t arise again
- identifying high-value prospective users and ensuring the sales team follow up
- proactively finding ways to help our users
You’ll also help shape the future of GoCardless: you’ll pass on the most popular feature requests and be the advocate for our users so we’re always building something people want.
You’ll get involved with developing the processes we use to help our users, by finding the best tools out there and working to build what we need (like our bespoke phone system and feature request tracker).
You will work with an incredibly talented team and have opportunities to learn from them – even the founders work on front-line support once a month. There’s very little hierarchy, lots of freedom and all the responsibility you want to take. There’s also a great office atmosphere, good coffee, tons of fruit and juice, Friday beers and regular dinners out.
We’re looking for someone who:
- has heaps of initiative, enthusiasm and patience
- can multitask effortlessly
- has a flawless command of English
- is technically literate and keen to learn
Bonus points for proficiency in a programming language, previous experience at a start-up or in customer support.
Email maria@gocardless.com to apply. Please include a great covering statement, when you’d be available to start and your expected salary.
