Without wishing to be the bearer of potentially bad news, I would suggest that you may run in to potential issues due to the below links, showing a UK registered trade mark for 'Wigwam' and an active website for an estate agent going by that name. Due to the similarity of services and name, they would have a good case for trade mark infringement.

Apologies if this has already been addressed of course.
- rayhano 13y agoGot to love Hacker News for thorough research. Yes, there is an agent in the West Country that have 'wigwam' trademarked. At this stage, we have no revenue, few customers and are trying to cut the many years it takes to get product/market fit. When we have a product people love, then this is an issue. Otherwise, I think I should focus on the product and my customers. If wigwamonline come knocking, I'll chat with them. :)
- grabeh 13y agoI'd personally prefer to have a clear name as free from risk as possible (or at least known risks) from the start, rather than have to start at square one if I have to change my name in the future after I've built up goodwill (and also incur costs in the process). However I appreciate your reasoning and all the best.
