- behe 17y agoIs it me, or does nobody seem to quite understand why Adblock Plus is such a good solution for blocking ads? Let me list a few. Automatic updates - a requirement for me. Ads are removed as the page loads, rather than after loading. Element Hiding Helper lets me pick DOM elements to remove and create filtering rules based on that. And all of this is wrapped up in a nice UI too! Yes, yes, Adblock Plus doesn't block as much as Adsweep by default, but I don't care because I don't just use the default blocklist. I add my own on top. And I can see no way of doing that in Adsweep, so Chrome + Adsweep remains a no-go for me until they sort that out!
