My biggest issue with these In-App purchases schemes is that I have had apps where I've paid for the non-free version, only to have updates come through maybe 6-12 months later that introduce advertising popups AND in-app to win purchases. At least dont screw over the ones that supported you at the start. It's a real 'fuck-you' to the ones who took you from nothing to where you are today.
