Quite ironic when you consider the Design. I wouldn't worry, the fact that you realized this was a poor design means you don't really need to take the course. Just read up on "affordances" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affordances http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affordances) and start complaining about doors that have handles that look like you should pull them but actually have to be pushed, for the rest of your life. It's a life long course.
