University of Tokyo lab suspected of altering data in 43 scientific papers
- danso 13y agoI guess the bureaucracy and politics of scientific research is not much different than in any other arena of human endeavor, still, it seems particularly sad to imagine a bunch of scientists fiddling around with Photoshop so that their PDFs can "really pop!" (to use a common marketing design phrase). I don't read a lot of scientific papers, but has there been much meta-research done to try to quantify attractiveness of scientific paper presentation and correlate it with number of citations (or some other qualitative measure)?
