Even if you're not a lawyer (I'm not), I'd highly recommend his book. From memory, its main shortcoming is that it doesn't go into depth about those aspects of typography that are specific to the web (e.g., web-safe fonts, font substitution, etc.).
- TylerE 13y agoIsn't that a bit like complaining that a bookie on Vegitarian cuisine doesn't include any steak recipes?
- pawn 13y agoSteak is my favorite vegetarian dish. What do you mean 'vegetarian' doesn't mean what I think it means?
- karlb 13y agoNo, it's not like that, because (a) I'm not complaining about the book. I'm highly recommending it, but with a qualification that's relevant to this audience, and (b) steak and vegetarian are mutually exclusive, whereas law and web aren't.
- smalltalk 13y agoWhen and why would a lawyer be concerned with web-specific typography? I can't possibly imagine a lawyer ever needing to know about web-safe fonts or any other aspects of typography that are specific to the web.
