I'd pay for webmail on the assumption that they have the scale to filter spam better than I could manage on my own. I don't think I'd be willing to pay explicitly for anything else (maybe if they were bundled, but not at $5/month each). $5/month seems steep. For comparison, LiveJournal charges $3/month or $20/year.
