I've been using TP-Link powerline for the last year at home or so, I can warmly recommend them: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/?categoryid=206 http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/?categoryid=206 Compared to wifi (which was stopped by stone walls in my old countryside house), the connection is more snappy and faster. Since my garage is ~100m away but on the same circuit, I can also get good internet access over there :-)
