Retina display huh? Retina is just another marketing word. Apple's retina display was surpassed by consumer technology more than a year ago. GS4 has a 441ppi screen while the Iphone 5 "Retina" display is just 326ppi.
- na85 13y ago.... okay? I'm not sure why you thought that I didn't understand that Retina is a marketing term, or why it's relevant to the point I was making.
- atirip 13y agoWhats the point of surpassing Apple's retina anyway? At certain resolution you just can not see the pixels anymore and resolutions bigger than that is just pointless masturbating. Take offset printing for example. Industry standard maximum is 300dpi. Do you think this is techinal maximum? Or course no. Now think why nobody wants desperately to "surpass" this. Do you see ads like - "Vogue is now printed at 600dpi"?
