I had a hard time gleaning the tone of this piece. At first I thought it was facetious, since the list of purportedly annoying responses from IT actually seemed quite reasonable. The last one in particular, “You never said that is what you really wanted. We did what you asked for.”, seems hard to argue against. Yet the rest of the piece is clearly sincere. Perhaps that just goes to show how wide the chasm is.
