This is so 'post hoc, ergo propter hoc' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_hoc_ergo_propter_hoc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_hoc_ergo_propter_hoc) reasoning, with fitting the facts to a story, that (imho) seemed to reside in the authors head before writing the first letter. Author should read a little Nasim Taleb, just for educational purposes on the role of chance in life.
