I'm nitpicking here, but I thought that Microsoft was based in Redmond, WA. (from the article) how Microsoft worked hand-in-hand with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in order to ensure that law enforcement could bypass encryption mechanisms and easily listen-in and watch conversations conducted over Silicon Valley giant’s Outlook.com chat portal and Skype messaging platform. I'm not from California (been there twice,) and I've lived in Washington state, but is Microsoft considered to be a "Silicon Valley giant?"
