I am not a physicist, but isn't that already possible, depending on the contents of the volume? I can store all the data about a 1km^3 vacuum containing a single atom at the centre in a volume much smaller than 1km^3.
- jbri 13y agoSure, but you can't store the contents of an arbitrary volume, which is what people generally mean when they talk about storage capacity.
- pessimizer 13y agoMore depending on how much detail you want to use to describe the atom.
