This is more than a month old.
- wslh 13y agoWas it already featured on HN? Also, the algorithms that we often talk about on HN everyday are decades older... ;-)
- dalke 13y agoIn case you missed them: "Titanic Sinks Four Hours After Hitting Iceberg", "Japan Declares War on U.S." "Man On The Moon" "Dewey Defeats Truman" "Beatle John Lennon Slain" Do you know how to use the search feature? This was mentioned three weeks ago, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5951050 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5951050 .
- wslh 13y agoThe same logic can be applied to a large number of articles that appear in The HN frontpage. The previous post doesn't have comments and context and time are important in HN. You are taking it very personal with "do you know how to use the search feature?" Probably more than you, see the script at the bottom of this article: http://blog.databigbang.com/tag/hnsearch/ http://blog.databigbang.com/tag/hnsearch/ it was a hack to surpass HNSearch search restrictions.
- tehwebguy 13y agoYour account is 1334 days old, so you should be aware that berating someone with sarcasm & the search feature is discouraged here.
- danso 13y agoAnd, to your point, I for one would upvote an enlightening article about Charles Babbage's analytical engine, even (or especially) if it were published 150 years ago.

- Cyranix 13y agoMy guess is that someone was hoping to draw a parallel between someone fleeing Russia (Kasparov) and someone trying to get into Russia (Snowden).
