Is this specifically Manhattan experience? My experiences in Brooklyn were nowhere near this bad (before I eventually got out of the renter's market and bought here).
- potatolicious 13y agoI suspect so. This has been true for everywhere I've looked - which has been all Manhattan. Even in the more run-down parts of Manhattan (coughChinatowncough) it's still the case. My impression from coworkers is that it's the same in the "hot" parts of Brooklyn. Park Slope, W'burg, DUMBO, etc. Things may not be so bad further out though.
