You've probably got a pretty good job right now, and some decent savings, right? Why? Surely you could quit your job, find a much simpler one with less responsibilities, and move into a trailer and subside on tubers and rice. Much cheaper, you don't have to work nearly as hard, and less responsibility! Of course you wouldn't do this because you like the lifestyle that your job allows you to have (and likely like your job as well). The ability to be poor and not die does not automatically make people satisfied with being poor.
