The point of the article is to wait until the official report is released before jumping up and down on an innocent party. As has happened in many other situations, the media circus surrounding an unfortunate event can cause people to prejudge, and sometimes they don't stick around to learn the truth. Case in point: I was reading something recently (can't remember what) where the author pointed out that many people still believe Richard Jewell [1] to be the Atlanta bomber.
