Turn out was pitiful. We're being slowly boiled and almost no one is taking notice. I spoke with a guy passing by across the street from Pershing Square who grew up somewhere in Europe. I didn't have the sense at the moment to ask him his country of origin (sounded like Russian or something similar) but he basically stated that he was still on the fence even though he had lived through a more intensely oppressive government. He said he is "used to it" unlike me (a young-ish American.)
