Sadly this is true. The constitution that the USA was founded on not only affected the people of North America, but the virtues documented there were held as paragons of a just society for the entire industrialized western hemisphere. Sadly, we are seeing these values eroding and dying. And the few that stand up for them, being imprisoned or silenced. I despair.
