I have to admit, I've been on this phone call as the person being recruited, a lot. I realized after a while that a lot of the ideas and companies I was being pitched on weren't interesting, especially after I realized that most recruiters know very little about the companies they're working for. That realization prompted me to become a founder. If I was going to work on a company that was hard to explain, it better damn well be my own, and I better like it.
