OC is 'pepper spray' and looks red/orange. It is what American police use. CS is yellow/white military 'tear gas' and is not usually used in the USA, but it is used in other countries. It was used in the USA in the 1960s, but not today usually. Some of the 'grenades'/fire crackers police throw that make a loud bang also release a small cloud of CS gas. Seattle police used these against May Day 2013 protesters. I noticed in Tehran, Iran the people used an open flame (like a candle or burning paper) to destroy the CS gas. The people in Turkey were subjected to both. Bear/dog repellent is a mix of CS & OC, but is illegal to use on humans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cs_gas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cs_gas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OC_gas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OC_gas
