I really do truly believe that. It's true that Russia or China would try to take their place but they'd have a much harder time because they don't have anything like the US military, the technical infrastructure, etc., etc. and the rest of the world has been so skeptical of them for so long they'd likely never achieve any of those things (well, perhaps military might).
