- goostavos 13y agoI mean, really, what is the article complaining about here? The most often clicked on organic search results appear above the fold. If you need more, scroll down a bit. Maybe I'm the minority, but if what I'm looking for isn't one of the first few results, I modify my query. Google is showing the stuff that makes it money, and the organic stuff we're most likely to need. And at the end of the day, what we're talking about is having to scroll down on a page. Faux blog outrage.
- ChrisAntaki 13y agoAgreed! Personally, I use DuckDuckGo for privacy reasons, but I have a ton of respect for Google. The blog post is complaining about some trivial stuff, that I'm sure Google has spent (hundreds of) thousands analyzing.
- estel 13y agoIndeed, I wasn't really aware that the "fold" was really much of an issue any more with modern web design. Users expect to, and do, scroll down; it's no big deal :/
- jasey 13y agoIf you have ever looked at a heatmap of where users scroll down to on a given page. It will clearly show you that the prime realestate is above the fold (before you start scrolling)
