I hope there is a way to disable auto-rotation for reading in bed. That is a big pet peeve with my iphone.
- anuraggoel 17y agoThere seems to be. From the manual at http://s3.amazonaws.com/kindle/KindleDX_Users_Guide.pdf http://s3.amazonaws.com/kindle/KindleDX_Users_Guide.pdf The screen changes automatically when you rotate your Kindle from portrait to landscape or vice versa. Or, you can lock your screen to a particular orientation to fit your reading position. However, since this is a much bigger device, I am not sure if reading in bed is going to work the same way it does for the iPhone.
- silencio 17y agoAll of the ebook readers I've liked for the iPhone let you disable auto-rotation - Stanza, BookShelf, the Kindle app...

- pronoiac 17y agoIt doesn't auto-rotate if you tilt it so the home button's at the top.
